Corrado Sfogli has passed away, quietly (like my own, guilty) a little over a year ago. Before that, however, he married his Fausta, sealing a story of Art and love that has lasted forty years.
Their love is their own, private and poignant, but their Art belongs to all of us and must not be forgotten. A rich history that did not begin with Corrado and Fausta but reached its conclusion with them. A story of an extraordinary group that hasn’t been celebrated enough.

Ludwig Johann Passini (1832–1903) was an Austrian painter and engraver.
A serene and luminous intimate contemplation encapsulates this glimpse of Venice, where the painter portrays his wife, Anna Warsaw, on the balcony of Palazzo Priuli in Venice. Passini marries Anna Warsaw in 1864, but a year and a half after the marriage she passes away. [various sources]
