King Hannah - It's Me and You, Kid (Official Video)
November 2022 with King Hannah ends here, and for me, there’s no better way to conclude a beautiful album than with a stunning track.

Reigning Sound - North Cackalacky Girl (Shattered, 2014)

Besides Mick Collins, another beautiful bastard Devil-Wizard of the genre is Greg - Oblivians - Cartwright. Legendary with the Oblivians, immense with the Compulsive Gamblers, and super with this other magnificent creature of his.

Well, you say okay, but then another five years go by and this Noble Bastard from out of this world envelops you with yet another splendid album. Animals, Them, Zombies, Beat and musty R&B in the cellar, but above all so much soul that seems to have come out of Stax, black and white together, romanticism with gems that appear to have come from the cusp of the Fifties and Sixties… always with that way of his… like someone drinking with friends in a bar, then picking up the guitar and starting to play. It’s not just great talent, you also have to be a Noble Bastard…

John Lennon & Elton John - Whatever Gets You Thru The Night (Live MSG 1974)

This was unfortunately the last live appearance of John Winston Ono Lennon, the result of a bet with Elton Hercules John and nothing...

Novecento(1900) - Romanzo When I saw it again yesterday, I didn’t remember that it was scored by Morricone, so in addition to the usual chills down my spine, there was also a sense of genuine astonishment. Beautiful.

Alice - Tom Waits

CROMÁTICA PISTONA - "La Esquina Crápula" (con Tonino Carotone) Tonino ...always him...x withor and to those who like it

Count Five ‎– Peace Of Mind (1966)

Count Five - They're Gonna Get you - 1966 45rpm

The essential albums: “PSYCOTIC REACTION”

“Gentlemen, bow your heads before one of the masterpieces of beat-punk of all time!!! Born in San Jose, the Count Five were swept away by the success of their first single, an incredible psychotic ride influenced by Bo Diddley and the Yardbirds. The album that took its title became a worthy container, delivering to history, in eleven tracks written in a day and a half, the genius of these students dressed as Count Dracula and...”

As far as I'm concerned, I don't know if it ranks among the masterpieces of the era-genre... if not, it’s right there immediately after.

The Rev (77)

Tim Buckley - Song to the Siren

Heard it again by chance in a movie, sung by a beautiful female voice, I thought to myself: let's listen to it sung by Tim.

Here it is.

Reigning Sound - Can't Hold On [2011]

Aside from Mick Collins, another beautiful bastard Devil-Wizard of the genre is Greg - Oblivians - Cartwright. Legendary with the Oblivians, immense with the Compulsive Gamblers, and superb with this other magnificent creation of his.

With Too Much Guitar you think, “okay, he made the masterpiece album with his Dominant Sound,” and instead this damn bastard does what?! He makes you wait five years and then throws a wonderful album at you, a "moody & melancholic" side - his words - of the Oblivians sound. You can't define it... it takes you back to your adolescence with sounds full of sixties vibes, R&B, soul but also steeped in that traditional American sound...
And with that bastard voice, flirtatious... to hell with the 17 octaves of the “great singer” that I couldn't care less about... that animates this splendid bastard...

AlbumONE... if you haven't figured it out yet... But the beauty is that this guy creates an album like this putting together Bitols, Van Morrison, Arthur Lee, Graham Parker, and even Bob Dylan... after being one of the most insane iconoclasts of "Classic" Rock... you say he has no class, talent, nobility?! Naaaaaaaaaaa... and even WAITS... come on...

Next EP…

But is the guy in the car Francuzzo Nero?!

The Last Drive - Every Night

These Greeks are really good, completely unknown to me until yesterday, savansadir

Doorsians… great piece…

Them Belly Full (But We Hungry) [Live] (1975) - Bob Marley & The Wailers "from showman to shaman" this phrase struck me a lot while watching the documentary 'who shot the sheriff' which focuses on the pre and post attack on Bob: it was already clear in this live how that shamanic aura was already enveloping him.

Yes - Beyond and Before
