The seven-track album channels the spirit of early 2000s bands like Curl Up And Die and Planes Mistaken For Stars. Its apocalyptic vibe and intense energy make it a standout release influenced by the Deathwish scene.  The final impression one has after listening to "Deeper Than Hell" is of a well-conceived product, yet lacking the element that could make it more than just "pleasant."

A real shame because this flaw brings the album a couple of points below the (high) rating it would have certainly deserved with much better accompanying sounds.

Plugs Of Apocalypse’s 2017 album Deeper Than Hell marks a bold shift from deathcore to a hybrid sound mixing electronic, gothic, and melodic rock elements. The songwriting and vocal performances are strong, highlighting beautiful melodic parts and complementary male/female voices. However, production issues, especially the subdued guitar presence and overpowering keyboards, hold the album back. Despite these flaws, the album’s elegance and mature musicality make it worthy of attention. Listen to Deeper Than Hell for a unique blend of gothic and melodic rock with atmospheric keys—discover Plugs Of Apocalypse’s evolution now!
