Dream Theater Antagonistic Views

LaBrie is a terrible singer. Live, he’s awful; in the studio, he used to express himself well, but he was also heavily aided. Hearing him in the bootlegs is almost shocking; he sounds like a chicken. Absurd.

Exceptional artist, although a bit twisted. The album is truly a masterpiece. Great review.

Guys, you can’t trash an album like this. Or at least not with such arguments. Arguments are everything. One can say anything, even the most unthinkable things - like that this album isn’t a totem - but they need to know how to argue them properly. Otherwise, it’s clear that the "viulenza" kicks in.

Reviewer, what the hell are you talking about? More than a human case, I would say a clinical case.
Led Zeppelin Mothership
Voto:
Oh yes, completely pointless output. The barrel has been scraped, Led Zeppelin fans can resign themselves. I'm waiting for the review of the London concert, although I'm sure the overall performance, especially from Plant, certainly won't have lived up to their reputation. I've heard Plant sing lately: it would have been better if he had retired. What was once an uncontrollable voice (with all the pros and cons of the matter) is now a moan or a bray, to say the least, weak and diluted. After all, such a deterioration of the voice was unavoidable.

Guys, from the photos you kindly linked, it’s even more enticing.. Damn, what a hot girl... What a body! I believe a figure like that is worth at least one point in artistic value. :-)

Okay, I haven't listened to the album and I won't, so in theory, I shouldn't express opinions. But how the hell can we talk about music with this? She's a total knockout, at least for someone born in '84 like me, but that's where it ends. I mean, does she even have a voice? What a knockout anyway, top-tier levels, because after all, she's just a normal girl.

Alright, I'll lower the Genesis, come on.... :-) Even though the Doors are from another planet.
Genesis Selling England By The Pound
Voto:
For me, no one has done it better than they have in the progressive genre. I believe that Genesis encapsulate all the positive aspects of this rather controversial genre in their music: the pieces are always masterfully constructed, there’s never any unnecessary or self-serving virtuosity (Yes, speaking of technicalities, know a thing or two about that), the melodies are always very refined, and there's a catchiness that, naturally, can only enhance the overall value of the music. Yes, in my opinion, they are the best in the genre. That said, Yes have produced SPLENDID things (but also some indigestible, self-celebratory monstrosities that can still be part of an artistic journey) and King Crimson are fantastic, at least while they were a relatively stable lineup (that is, up to Island or so) and not so much when they became a circus of technical monsters, sometimes for the sake of it. I, on the other hand, do not like Van Der Graaf at all. I find their sound horrifying and distressing. Gentle Giant, for me, is just technique. Genesis are the best. Always in my opinion.
