Excellent review for the depth and attention to detail; I didn't have time to read it all... Hugoniot, next time could you try to be a bit more concise?

Ajeje, I don't know what I would give to be at a party with Kerosene playing in the background!!! :-)

I still have to get them (I think I'll do it soon because I've been in the mood for post-rock lately), anyway, great review!

Well, the Shellac are amazing too! "At Action Park" is one of the masterpieces of the '90s! And then there are the Rapeman, let's not forget that... Albini is great. Of course, the sound of "At Action Park" is very different from that of "Atomizer," also because there's a solid 8 years in between... I believe one of Albini's main merits has been being at the forefront of U.S. alternative rock for so long (the '80s and '90s).

Thank you all for the votes! :-) Joan, I have never listened to Algebra Suicide, but I know they were also from Chicago... A nice review will definitely clear things up for me... Bye!

Bowie? So-so... it leaves me a bit cold, but I admit I should explore it more... :-)

Ah, of course I mean: "jerks," in a Berlusconi-esque sense (that is, left-wing), not "jerks" according to the Zingarelli dictionary... :-) God forbid I offend those who publish my reviews... Happy work!

I agree with JimMorrison and call on the editors to correct the site title to "Debaser. Music reviews written by assholes and others. A site run by assholes and that's it." :-D Cheers.

A record that gives me chills every time I listen to it. A perfect work, from the first to the last note. An instrumental cohesion that leaves you speechless. A David Yow that instills terror. A Denison capable of anything. A superb rhythm section. The experiences of Scratch Acid and Rapeman coalesced into an explosive sound combination. Indeed: implosive. One of the few records capable of both repulsing and moving you at the same time. The extreme transfiguration of the blues.
