 Giulio was probably one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) Italian drummers, and despite what some 80s magazines claimed, his style remains very current and undoubtedly a great source of inspiration for young drummers today.

Released under difficult circumstances, Area's 'Tic & Tac' is an underrated 1980 album blending jazz and fusion with minimal electronic influence. Despite the absence of vocalist Demetrio Stratos, the album shines with remarkable performances from Ares Tavolazzi and new saxophonist Larry Nocella. While some tracks falter, most compositions showcase the band's refined musicianship and inventive style.
