Yes. One of my heart's metal albums. The highlights: "Turns to me" and "Morning sun."

Calm Face: Klaus is not messing with you; the Germans don’t joke around... ;-) (who knows, they might even end up winning the World Cup...)

What Dio achieved in Rising and Heaven&Hell is among the peaks of classic metal. Dio's voice, along with Halford's, was THE voice (powerful, versatile, epic, emphatic) of British heavy metal.

This was perhaps the album that changed my life (as a music listener, but not just...). I first listened to it in 2003 and was hypnotized, fascinated, thrilled. It contains six seminal, essential tracks. The title track is the prototype of "freaked-out garage rock with a noisy tail"; "Gift" is PIL's Albatross a decade early (and much more...); Godiva and Here she comes are two of the most perverse ballads ever, two affronts to the clean aesthetic of acid rock, two sinuous mantras for the toxic culture of NYC's underbelly; "Call my name" puts any MC5 to shame; "Sister Ray" speaks for itself, an uncontrolled pollution of sounds (two guitars, an organ) driven by Moe Tucker's frenzied drumming... A more cohesive and extreme record than the first.

Miiiiiii...with Wendy Williams we've reached the peak of perversion, so I’d say we can stop here before T-Rex gets pissed because we're messing up the review... :-D

Well, at this point, I’d like to invite my buddy Lux Interior with his little friend Poison Ivy, so we can get nicely drunk to the rhythm of psycho-billy, on the notes of the Cramps... What do you think? :-)
