Tim Buckley Goodbye And Hello
Voto:
Ajeje, just forget it... remember that Viva Li' is still Mister Nico's little buddy... :-D Come on Poletti, stop saying nonsense: if you’re not skilled in the matter, it’s better to leave it alone... It's a heartfelt advice... ;-) (to avoid making an even bigger fool of yourself!)
Savage Republic Tragic Figures

"On the prowl" identical to "Krautrock"? Are you sure? Well, I should give it another listen... Then I'll let you know... :-)
Grateful Dead Live/Dead
Voto:
The Grateful Dead, a legendary band... half futuristic (the instrumental section), half dated (the vocal section)... In this memorable live performance (one of the best ever), the feeling between the musicians is perfect... Garcia's band drew from blues, country, free jazz, and avant-garde to achieve a unique, cosmic, dreamlike sound, beyond any spatial-temporal coordinates...
Naked Raygun Jettison
Voto:
Fest, the Naked Raygun are very much like Pegboy, but they are definitely more eclectic and imaginative in terms of composition... Pegboy, on the other hand, while being more precise and compact in execution compared to Raygun, leaned more towards a punk-pop style, sometimes inspired, sometimes predictable... Anyway, give Pegboy another chance: at first they seemed a bit "obvious" to me too, but after listening to them for a while, they engage and excite you (almost) as much as Raygun (from Pegboy I’ve listened to the first EP and "Strong Reaction")... Anyway, I really think you'll like "Jettison"... :-) (even though it's not a quirky album like "Psychic Powerless" :-P)
Pere Ubu The Modern Dance
Voto:
Guys, music like that of Ubu had never been heard in '78, and their way of conceiving harmonies, rhythm, singing, and song structure influenced hundreds of bands in the '80s and '90s, even those that seemingly made music that was fundamentally different: Fugazi, Jesus Lizard, Pixies and many more... :-) Pere Ubu didn't change the surface, but the DNA of rock music. :-)
The Velvet Underground The Velvet Underground & Nico
Voto:
Crocodile tears, poletti... ;-P
Bad Company Bad Co
Voto:
More than inventors, I would place them among the forerunners of AOR (alongside Free)... Although it must be said that, despite the overall catchiness, their r'n'b did not have that crystalline production which remains one of the fundamental requirements of so-called AOR... They were English, but they played in an American style... Very valid review.
Miles Davis Milestones
Voto:
Damn, what a great review...Well done, Stoo! :-)
Generation X Generation X
Voto:
Are they similar to the Buzzcocks? If so, I could also get my hands on them...
