It is a cosmic journey, it is set in space and addresses it. <<< More than a journey, Zeit is a contemplation...something static, unchanging...That’s why I like to define it (improperly) as an "ambient" record...Anyway, when I said that Zeit should be listened to while doing "something else," I wanted to suggest more than anything an antidote to the boredom that such listening might provoke... :-)

In these late summer days, I’m trying to educate myself about post-rock (a genre I already know, but not as deeply as others). In any case, this album seems to me, at first listen, a summary of everything that was labeled as "post-rock" in the last decade: 1) post-rock as the deconstruction of the rock song; 2) post-rock as rock contaminated with other genres (mainly electronic, but also classical and jazz); 3) post-rock as "ambient" rock music.
