Tangerine Dream Zeit

It is a cosmic journey, it is set in space and addresses it. <<< More than a journey, Zeit is a contemplation...something static, unchanging...That’s why I like to define it (improperly) as an "ambient" record...Anyway, when I said that Zeit should be listened to while doing "something else," I wanted to suggest more than anything an antidote to the boredom that such listening might provoke... :-)

Beautiful Dune. I often find myself reflecting on the issue you raised in the first part of the review, and I have come to the conclusion that, as Fellini used to say, "everyone must do what is congenial to them." Therefore, those who are naturally inclined toward constant experimentation need to change styles frequently to best express their potential; on the other hand, those who can only do one thing (but do it well) must necessarily insist on that point. After that, de gustibus...

You talked more about the album in the comment than in the review! But you conveyed the idea: pure chaos, just the way we like it... Long live New Zealand! :-)

Oh yes... The USA of Frankie Knuckles is really a country of idiots... Better the Italy of Gigi Dag... yes, yes, no doubt about it...

In these late summer days, I’m trying to educate myself about post-rock (a genre I already know, but not as deeply as others). In any case, this album seems to me, at first listen, a summary of everything that was labeled as "post-rock" in the last decade: 1) post-rock as the deconstruction of the rock song; 2) post-rock as rock contaminated with other genres (mainly electronic, but also classical and jazz); 3) post-rock as "ambient" rock music.

Zigghio, I give you 4 for the passion (and I actually like spontaneous, instinctive reviews), but I confess I didn't understand a damn thing of what you wrote! ;-) (I’ll read it again, don’t worry...) As for Loro, I listened to them for the first time yesterday: they remind me a lot of Talk Talk and Bark Psychosis, just colder...
