Nice album and great review, I also agree with the idea of the piano's acoustic dominance over the Kora, and I wonder if it's just a technical issue. Less "desert-like" than other albums by the fantastic Ballaké. One can feel atmospheres reminiscent of Rene Aubry.

This album has marked me since its release because my father, who is a huge Frank fan, made me learn it by heart when I was little. I think it's probably the most listened-to album of my life. But it has never tired me; I still enjoy blasting it, especially the way you recommend. Rightly so.
