Paul McCartney Chaos And Creation In The Backyard

well done. I said it, not an absolute masterpiece, but a masterpiece of honest craftsmanship indeed... for boredom: thank you

and remember all the theater, written by Gaber, wonderfully performed by Colli...? Remember, young lad, remember....

Here... probably the affection also comes from our shared profession... even though I have long abandoned the typewriter... Aguaplano is a masterpiece born from an undeniable golden moment (and with an exceptional band). Personally, however, I prefer Un Gelato Al Limon and Paris Milonga, which I consider the two true absolute masterpieces.
Arcadia So Red The Rose

What a thrill !!!!! The Arcadia / Power Station debate has returned like the best of zombies... well. I'll state my position: in the golden days of my adolescence as a student musician, I was obviously for the latter, but today, as a professional and family man, yet still a musician, and undoubtedly in an advanced state of forgetfulness, I am for the Arcadia, now and always. And I’m ready for the fight.
Eric Clapton Unplugged
Voto:
Rainbow Concert (absolutely not to be overlooked!), but also Just One Night and 24 Nights are certainly better: the first one for its historical moment and the pleasure of an all-stars band, the second because it has, simply and rightly, made history, and the third because it represents a fascinating 360-degree project (blues + rock + orchestra). Unplugged is nice, but excessively glossy (not surprisingly, women loved it...), with very few solos, and unable to showcase the best side of many of the protagonists, especially EC. Here... if Just One Night is Kubrick, Unplugged is Andrew Balke (did I go too far...???)

huge album for an absolutely tremendous one (I will make sure to review more... indeed it was an unforgivable gap). punisher, or I reasoned on the theory of the 5 discs, which I essentially approve, but I would really suggest the correction of "at most 5 tremendous albums in a career." it seems more accurate to me... (and in any case, I challenge anyone, excluding die-hard fans, to find an artist who has produced more than five masterpieces... perhaps that’s too many... but maybe just Mr. G...)
Vinicio Capossela Canzoni a manovella
Voto:
Did he cheat on you...? Nope, kidding. I reiterate, great review, beautiful album with undeniable Waitsian influences (and not only, as the sentence copier rightly added above...)

thank you very much everyone. this is the first of my reviews that (so far) brings everyone together, the pretty and the ugly (...). I too am more attached to this than to "900", even though the latter seems objectively (as much as possible, and subtracting the very talented school kids who play for us...) superior, at least in terms of compositions (Gong Ho and 900 above all, true compositional masterpieces in absolute terms). anyway, thanks again.

Capossela represents the only significant presence in the high Italian singer-songwriter scene today. Given this, which I believe can be a good compliment, to speak of absolute originality, both in terms of composition and sound, means not knowing (or pretending not to know) the Waitsian work...

I’ll explain: there’s nothing to say about the objective quality (obviously very high) of the product in question... what I mean is that for me, EC has a Strat. I grew up with that sound, I played his music for many years. I started to love and understand pentatonics because of that Strat (so maybe the generational aspect is mine...). I’m just saying that if I have to choose live performances, personally, I pick the others (all of them). Of course, it’s a highly subjective judgment.
