I like the album in question, yet it's exactly what makes me miss The Smiths the most! I find the more acoustic ballads beautiful (in the second half of the album) and the two singles are exceptional... the other tracks, while featuring Morrissey's superb interpretation, leave me a bit unsatisfied, but it's all very pleasant nonetheless, and great review!

For me, it's also the best Bowie album (although I slightly prefer Aladdin Sane for "sentimental" reasons)... Life On Mars is his perfect ballad! Ah, Quicksand he sang live, together with Robert Smith for his 50th birthday concert in '97, a truly amazing moment! Great review anyway!

Without a doubt, it’s the Morrissey album I prefer, the one that doesn't make me miss the Smiths... lyrics, melodies, and interpretation at the highest level! In my opinion, it's also a courageous album; in '94, there weren't many predominantly acoustic records, and in my view, the entire new-acoustic movement five years later owes a lot to this album!

Prince For You

Although I've been crazy about Prince for over ten years, I've never delved into his early albums; I'm afraid I'll find them too "synthetic"... but I'll catch up. Recently, my interest in this artist has been returning to all-time highs after years of disappointments!
PS: Did you hear him last night at the British Awards... great performance, he also presented an unreleased track that wasn't bad at all...
