THE REVIEW

1974: After the success of "Innervision," Stevie delivers this album, which does not reach the level of the previous one, though it remains musically very interesting. "Fulfillingness' First Finale" is the complicated title of a record containing 10 tracks that are quite easy to listen to. The second track "Heaven Is 10 Zillion Light Years Away" is one of the high points of the work, a soul piece with a truly engaging chorus, almost like a gospel song. Also beautiful is the introspective ballad, timid and whispered "Too Shy to Say."

One of the most interesting songs is "They Won't Go When I Go," which creates a truly splendid atmosphere. Also nice are: "Boogie On Reggae Woman," in which the artist as a bass player sends chills, "Creepin'," and the political protest song "You Haven't Done Nothin'." The rest is a bit below Stevie's standards. On the other hand, this is the album of preparation for the absolute masterpiece of soul music, which will be his next album: "Songs In the Key of Life."
