The Who Who Are You
Voto:
Good review but it never gets to the point. A bit like the album. Actually, no, the album occasionally "hits the mark" with Who Are You, Sister Disco, and Guitar And Pen.

The only merit I attribute to him is having been able to take advantage of the emptiness of Italian commercial music from the late '70s to the early '80s. At that time, an album like this would make him seem like the Italian David Bowie, but after almost 30 years, the trick has now been revealed.

The success of the two stinky brothers is 1) a mystery of faith 2) one of the signs of the end of Western civilization. Tertium non datur.

I’ve been wondering for 15 years about the reason behind the success of those two drunken brothers, and I guess I’ll die without an answer. I hated them at 15, 20, 25, and 30 years old, surpassing all my musical "phases": pop, grunge, metal, '60s rock, '70s rock, prog rock, '70s disco, classical music, ethnic music, when I was studying trumpet, when I started with the drums. In my life, I’ve changed my mind about a billion of bands and singers who lived from 1500 to 2008, but I just can’t stand those incompetent bums.

For having defined this crap as "pop-rock," you deserve to be garrotted!
Cesare Cremonini Maggese

It's not as if every singer from a group of kids becomes a musical genius once they leave the band. At 20, Page was a well-known runist, at 21 Bonzo had already recorded 2 albums that went down in history, the Genesis had already said and done everything by 27. Cremonini is an old attempt to mimic the saving trajectory of Jovanotti, from fool to guru... but enjoy the money instead of doing the stupid thing of going to record at Abbey Road!!

"Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" would that be jazz? (And what does "golden years" mean? Golden years for recording techniques? Golden years of jazz?)
"I'm in Love With My Car" talks about a friend of Roger's, as the drummer has clarified multiple times. And what's so curious about a 6/8 rhythm? Have you ever heard songs in 7/8 or 13/16?
"...Writing with four different techniques that come together in a single sound..." but what language is this? "You're my Best Friend" would be funk? Explain (besides, Deacon's "funk" period came later...)!
""39" What a curious thing that they have performed this live for so many years without missing a beat and without skipping a note": something really curious but obviously made up. Just listen to the Live at Earls Court in March '77: there Roger can't hit the high note (and makes an amused face).
..."Sweet Lady"... it's a 3/4 (waltz time)... It really resembles Strauss waltzes: are we joking? (and then, what's this story about the waltz? The 3/4 can also be the time of the mazurka! And if anything, the waltz can be composed in 3/4, but also in 3/8 and sometimes 6/8)??
"Paul Anka with his famous 'Diana'" makes me laugh so hard!
"they leave you speechless" sounds a lot like Brunello Robertetti!
