Finally! The chat is one of the most talked-about groups... the latest seems to be another masterpiece.

A somewhat lacking review but the ending is beautiful. The album is the same. I think I’ll try the up and down technique..

Listen to it when you are 1) alone 2) Happy & Content (listening to it when you’re sad is kind of suicidal) that is: When you come home drunk on a Sunday morning in the car (seatbelts, please) and then see if you don’t start singing, sure it’s minimal, but I can’t imagine progressive rock solos with De André. He doesn’t deserve it, "manc'pògazz," I have to vote again...

Well, then you will like it. Take it. Yesterday I may have overreacted because a friend told me that the old Incubus had returned (slapped bass, annoying scratches, metal riffs, nervous rhythm), so I found myself disappointed in front of yet another New Incubus album. However, I listened to it again more carefully and indeed I think it's not that bad (well, I don’t like it), objectively speaking, they found a good point of junction between the old and the new, there are no crap songs (for me) like "Are you In", but neither the cool ones like "Idiot Box". I thought they had really fallen low with Morning View (maybe it's also because it bothers me to see my 12-year-old cousin asking for my CDs because Brandon is hot), let’s say that with this one they return to the level of "Make Yourself". It has been online for quite a while, to get an idea download: aghoraphobia and southern girl (softer) and Leech (a bit old-school) and there’s also a DVD... let’s give it an objective 3/5, but I think you’ll give it a bit more, after all, I’m into koRn, T00l, and the like ;) I want a reply with a review!!!

I like them, but I haven't heard much because the person who introduced them to me lives a bit far away, and lately, I've been more into stoner and electronic music (even if crossover is ultimately my favorite genre). But you review, give us the titles you like, and then we can dive deeper. The best thing I've heard this year in the Crossover scene remains definitely the latest from "Tomahawk": "Mit Gas" (The singer is Mike Patton, a name you can trust).

More than agreeing, I would say it’s a personal factor, so I don’t argue. I give it a 5 because usually if I listen to an album a couple of times and I like it a lot right away, it’s rare that it doesn’t stand the test of time. Maybe later on I’ll change my mind too. For example, I still like this album and I’ve had it for over a year; maybe in 2/3 months I’ll forget about it.

I meant the similarity in the metrics; after this, I read Livio's review and he noticed it too, although in the one he reviewed it’s more pronounced. Anyway, I also prefer Hayes to Boyd, and Dredg to Incubus. You're absolutely right about the Nu-Metal crowd (I had misunderstood); they even include T00l... tsk :)

I meant Make Yourself, if you wrote that you liked Morning View I would have been worried (0.5/5) ;)

I fully agree with your review. Well done. I don’t share (in the comments) Morning View as a great album by Incubus; in my opinion, it marks the beginning of their decline, not even close to masterpieces like Fungus and Science. By the way, have you heard A crow left ...?? What do you think? For me, 2/5 at most.

A splash of Tool, a glass of K. Crimson, 2 tablespoons of Pink Floyd, (but you forgot that dash, or maybe a little more, of Incubus on the vocal line), salt and pepper to taste, and you have the "cake" that is Dredg. To be clear, it's not bad at all, I like them a lot, but saying they "make history" in 2004 is a bold statement. Welcome to Pignolandia.
