See Hal, as you've rightly pointed out, everyone has their own musical pathways. For example, I've come to appreciate a Basile without necessarily knowing De André in depth. Listening to Basile (and others) multiple times, I vowed to get to know the source of all this (of course, De André). In a way, it’s a backward journey. I know you’ll help me in this search. :) As for the "indianata" on the beach, yes, a certain type of Italian music in my youthful memories (I mean those when I was 14-16 springs) connects to scattered songs by Venditti ("Bomba o non bomba" was a must to sing in company), Rino Gaetano, Bennato, Guccini, De Gregori... naturally Battisti and, you guessed it, De André. Here, in the valleys under the stars, in the quiet, peaceful, and subdued Italian Switzerland, any, and I mean any, song from these singer-songwriters made us feel a little more "Italian," and part of a culture that we "dreamed" was also a bit "ours"...

Well done, Scott (after all, I share your opinion on De André vs. Battisti: two sides of the same coin... how many times around a fire have we passionately sung "La canzone di Marinella," and then intoned "La canzone del sole" with the same fervor?) ... Well done, Hal. I don't know Faber's work deeply, but I have now promised myself to explore it further. Well done, everyone.

I don't understand anything about tunings or delays or barre chords… I just know that this album moves me a lot and continues to move me always… I love these guitars so distorted, acidic, dynamic… I don't know, maybe I said something stupid!
