AA.VV. "London Booted", A Bastardpop Tribute To The Clash

Congratulations on the choice, Mauri; I’m listening to it now in streaming. Tiga's RMX is amazing! :-))

To consider "SXM" a classic on par with a Bassi Maestro album is frankly an heresy worthy of the Holy Inquisition ;-) I don't particularly like them; I'm annoyed by their affected poses and street thug attitudes, along with the constant punchlines in their rhymes. Definitely a type of Rap that I don't prefer (even though I don't mind their sound). I haven't listened to the album; the single alone hasn't impressed me much. Immensely overrated.

I appreciate their technical skills, both in production and on the mic, but I’m not particularly fond of the attitude that I find to be pseudo-gangsta and at times caricatural. Overall, it’s a great album, which I’ve heard being compared to milestones like "SXM" or "Fastidio" with too much ease and approximation.

An MC I’ve appreciated since the Rawkus days and the beautiful "Train Of Thought" alongside DJ Hi-Tek. The nods to the easy-listening of "Quality" hadn’t fully convinced me, and I think I’ll let this Mix slip by without any particular regrets. I don’t like the review.

Beautiful and pleasantly listenable album, also sampled by prominent names in Rap like Brand Nubian. Kudos to Gino for having rescued it and reviewed it excellently ;-)

Now, however, we need the review of "Introspective" ;-)

Yes, even Boards Of Canada and Autechre are available at a reduced price. I managed to get "Geogaddi" for a die-hard rocker friend of mine :-))

Well, definitely courageous, but a bit too "out there" for my taste. Good job, odra :-)

A somewhat rough review of a band that fails to satisfy me 100%. New Order less impactful and convincing? Not in my experience, John, in fact I prefer them ;-)
