But who cares about knowing who I am! (I'll just change my mind and add something later). Our hero was born in February 1981.
Standard childhood follows.
He discovers music at a very young age with Europe (yes, the ones with the big-haired singer spinning the microphone stand).
He then relentlessly records cassette tapes from older friends who introduce him to Mr. Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC, etc.
But the time is ripe, and he enters a rebellious adolescence featuring: Nirvana, ripped jeans, flannel shirts, long hair that screams "rebel youth," his first joints... and basically all the surrounding elements you can imagine.
He also begins (to this day, still very much alive) a profound respect and friendship with alcoholic substances.
He travels the world, Kurt dies, newcomers are mocked (late) in the grunge-adolescent scene, and new bands are listened to.
Our hero joins a punk-oi band as a singer, shaves his head (though he doesn't fully embrace skinhead culture... too costly in terms of clothing), and broadens his musical horizons (Radiohead, Italian singer-songwriters from the '70s, Celtic music come into his house).
He discovers (this time really VERY late) Black Sabbath and seventies rock, which then leads him to psychedelia and stoner.
He grows his hair back.
He flies to Norway for 7 months as an Erasmus student and finds a band that totally captivates him (I believe you could call him a "fan," gentlemen): Motorpsycho.
Not shying away from garage, metal, prog, and other musical genres, our hero returns home trying to form a band that refuses to be put together.
If you've made it this far, I bet you also now want to feel a little affection for this guy. No? Come on, be indulgent, I know him well, after all he's a good guy.
Greet with joy!
