Would Steve Albini have wanted sounds like this? 1 friend. You don't talk bullshit about Albini.

There are 4-5 decent tracks, but the rest seem like scraps from trompe le monde, which, for me, was already showing signs of fatigue. Steve Albini would say what he kept repeating to them while they were recording Surfer Rosa, to make them sound louder: "No, it's pussy." We're at a 2.5.

Wes Anderson Grand Budapest Hotel

Exactly. The usual Anderson, I don't mind him. Certainly a more focused work than Moonrise Kingdom, although it shows more or less the same flaws. The director's hand is always too present, so much so that after yet another "quick pan," you almost want to say, "for Christ's sake, Wes!" (How many camera spins on the axis are there? I think more than 20). By combining all his films, you could create a single unique work made up of caricatures and very delightful characters. Finnes is absolutely extraordinary, a very nice story, as always, but more than the words (the dialogues are often interrupted because they are stretched out), gestures, relationships, and postures matter. A 3.5 movie for me as well; Wes should evolve a bit, his style has become really stale, despite the fact that the compositions are visually superb. The real problem is that in the long run, it all ends up being boring.
