for me this album is a great debut... made by teenagers for teenagers... I listened to it a lot when it came out... then the verdena evolved well, although they remained a bit too much in the realm of references... 3.5

Great respect for Pearl Jam... since Riot Act (which I found disappointing) I haven't followed them anymore... but in the '90s they did amazing things (Vitalogy is a masterpiece)... the latest single is really weak though...

the painting is by Eugene Delacroix...Liberty Leading the People...perhaps it's a metaphor for the people who should free themselves from these tunes...then the album would already make more sense...
