bletch inundercover I don't know, in this the references to 35007 are more than obvious. Try giving it a listen, keeping in mind that 35007 are definitely better.

I heard something about them, but I can't even remember if I liked them or not; however, I do remember the look of horror I shot at the logo.

Cornell, we didn't understand each other. I’m aware that even if you don’t smoke, you can listen to and appreciate stoner music, but it’s undeniably a type of music that favors the stoned listener (speaking of bad definitions :) ) the name itself says it all. Let me try to clarify with an example: "Dopesmoker" (not the user of the same name, but the latest work by Sleep) can be quite "pleasant" when listened to "naturally," but it's undeniably hard to digest. Under the influence of substances, however, it becomes an album that complements your state. Those psychedelic elements that made it heavy now become the driving force of the album. I hope I’ve been clear; if not, I apologize, but I’m not capable of doing better.
@bartle: 25.......TAB to me is a 5-star album, Farflung Earthless I can't even listen to if I'm not high (that doesn’t mean they suck), Limitus White I’ve never listened to, and Mammatus I heard something a while ago that I didn’t like. I’ll give it another shot.

no one wants to teach you to sin, no one wanted to show off. I’m sorry to have been misunderstood. I’m just saying that it’s an album that needs to be listened to with context, otherwise it makes no sense. With context, it has quite a bit of meaning. And if someone calls themselves a drug smoker, I assume they’d appreciate an album like this. Always without offense, it seems to me that the most “showy” phrase in this statement is this one: “If you listen to the self-titled album by Titan then what the hell are you doing, taking the fast train from Abbiate Grasso to Giunone?! And Blood Moon Riders by La Otracina (which isn’t even their best album)? But at this point, even the latest Ahkmed is more trippy than this.”
@dopesmoker: I understand your reasoning and appreciate that you didn’t feel offended by my previous comment, which evidently also irritated those who weren't involved. Better this way. Bartle what to say, I’m sorry.

With all due respect, someone who calls themselves dopesmoker can give this album less than a 4... Because it’s true that I’m heavily in debt to the 35007 who are two steps above them, but after setting fire to the flowers, this album expels you into another dimension. A four for the junkies, much less for the good kids (who can also avoid listening to the stoner).

stoner sludge... Thank God there’s not even a shadow of sludge... :) "they have a simple, pleasant sound that can also be aggressive and lively." Yes, ok, Black Pyramid play doom/stoner with some hints of psychedelia; they inherit the legacy of Sleep, like other bands before them (Electric Wizard, for example). They add to this sound epic arrangements, just as Elder had done two years earlier (but the album still manages to sound original). Finally, the influence of Black Sabbath is striking. @belegurth: Sorry, why didn’t you mention any of this??? Album between 4 and 5.

BELEGURTH: "To all those who think it sucks: try painting this 'crust' yourselves, then we’ll talk." What does that have to do with anything? If I can’t play the bass, can’t I say that Sid Vicious was a jerk? If I can’t cook lasagna and I eat some disgusting ones, do I still have to say they’re good? The painter in question surely paints better than I do (and I hope so, he’s a painter, I’m just messing around on Debaser...), but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m free to express my opinion on his work. 'Art' belongs to everyone, not just to those who create it.
