It's not that I talk about anything else, it's that I see prog reviews everywhere... and it's so annoying! Anyway, I've listened to enough prog metal as a kid to confidently say that it's a genre as technical as it is sterile and pointless.

"Progressive metal, jazz, folk, symphonic music, Latin rhythms. All in one album." When it comes to prog metal bands, it is often said that they create music contaminated by jazz, classical and so on. The reality, in my opinion, is that prog metal is a genre that has so little to communicate that it has to rely on other genres to succeed (often with disappointing results) in providing an emotion to the listener.
