Fragile Vastness A Tribute To Life

I believe I was so dazed by prog metal at 16/17 that I can comfortably say, ten years later, that it's a crazy scam. We're on a site where anyone can review whatever they want, and that's perfectly fine with me; that's the beauty of Debaser. But the beauty of the site is also that those who comment do so freely (of course, always with respect for others). So if you are completely free to fill the homepage with reviews of this genre, I am equally free to comment on them as I wish. (I repeat, always with respect for the interlocutor, and I don't believe I have disrespected anyone.)

But just look at the mess of stuff on this album. So, the album is divided into two CDs (or three vinyl records, but let's pretend those don't exist because it's already complex enough as it is). The first CD is divided into 4 tracks: the first, split into five moments, was printed for the first time in 2000 in a split with Charalambides. The second track is dated 2003 and was released in another split, along with Vibracathedral Orchestra and Magic Carpathians. The third, dated 2002, was created as part of "purposeful availment subscription," a series of CDs which if you want to know more about, I refer you to this link: --- three lobed recordings: TLR 004-011: purposeful availment CD subscription series ---. The fourth and final track of the first CD is an unreleased piece recorded between 1998 and 2000 (and how long does it take to re-record a piece???). The second CD, on the other hand, is just a reissue of Nightly Trembling, the second album by (or if you prefer, "by") Six Organs, dated 1999 and originally distributed in a limited edition. Fun fact: all the tracks were recorded by our guy at home with a 4-track recorder... and you can definitely tell it’s not some lame psycho mp3...

Faith, we were talking about prog masterpieces (I mean, you were talking about masterpieces) and now considering masterpieces like "Holy Land," anything from Dream Theater or Fates Warning, Savatage!!! (Savatage??? But they play the most classic metal that could exist... "Deadwinter Dead" is one of the furthest things from prog you could mention... and also the best album you mentioned, coincidentally :) ) means having a bit of a muddled idea. Especially in light of what I asked you before: "let's avoid mentioning 'Awake' and 'Images and Words' from Dream Theater (if they are musical masterpieces, we are in trouble) and maybe I would also avoid mentioning the queens (or the queen) of the Reich, who had very little to do with prog. But then I also don't see masterpieces in Symphony X or Fates Warning"... I mean: for you they might be masterpieces, okay, let me say that for me they are not... actually... (and yes, okay, they all sound super technical, incredibly skilled, and incredibly fast... but what a drag the pieces they write...)

I'm sorry, screener. Let me clarify the question: if you really wanted to see it in the cinema, why did you want to watch it at home first? (And inevitably ruin your experience at the cinema where you went to rewatch something you already knew?)

@ donnie: I said it because the only way to watch movies that haven't been released on DVD yet is to get the screener version, where the audio and video are crap compared to any DVX DVD rip (which Avatar obviously doesn't exist yet). And I'm asking if you hate cinema because watching a visually-driven film at home before seeing it in the theater (unless you have a cinema at home, but I read above that your screen is 20 inches) is the best way to ruin the film. PS: now that I've answered your question, could you answer the question I asked you earlier: "why did you watch it in screener first?"

it's not one of the best albums of 2009 because it's not an album but a compilation of b-sides and tracks that appeared only on mini et, split et, and similar. (all stuff I've never heard and that I'll try to track down at this point)

Yes, muffin, that’s it, and you don’t know how much you’re paying me, Cameron... I guess you said this bullshit for free: "that 'Romeo and Giulietta' by Zeffirelli is a huge pile of crap!" Now that I understand how this little game works, go ahead and have the last word; I don’t intend to start any pointless discussion with you—I already know where it would lead.

My opinion on Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet is ironic, if that wasn't clear...
