I saw them live. I don't remember any tattoos, maybe he didn't have them yet. What I do remember is an arm climbing along the back. And a live show that was pretty heavy. Of all their discography, the only album I like is Live, which is indeed a live album. I guess the live dimension is the one that suits them best.

Well, anyway, you're handsome.

I don't think it makes much sense to blame a musician when they change their course: people get tired of listening to the same music all the time, let alone musicians playing it. That said, I've never liked QOTSA; I listened to their last album once and found it light years away from my taste, and I will never listen to this album. However, it has a really beautiful cover (like pretty much all of QOTSA's covers). The review is beautifully hilarious.

for the record: Matt Reeves is the one who was handed the remake of "Let Me In." In short, a guy who has a fair share of bad luck when he shows up at the studios and hears, "Okay, we have a job for you!"

The film is full of beautiful shots, features a very good Woody Harrelson, has a great editing, and yet it’s still a fucking piece of shit when compared to the debut of the modern saga and even its sequel, which were great films, the first one being beautiful. So it makes sense that a weaker chapter could stand out badly and have its real value diminished. The problem, though, is that this thing is a fucking piece of shit even when taken on its own. I remember (and I remember it well because it was the first time I did something like this in my entire life) that after about an hour on the cinema chair with the big screen in my face, I tried to sleep. It wasn’t that I was dozing off; I was actually making a concerted effort (in vain) to fall asleep.
I'm not sure what exactly isn’t working; the stupid monkey (the clone of Dobby from Harry Potter, just to be clear) is the most out-of-place character you could find in a film with desperate tones like this one, but it’s not really a secondary character that could undermine the whole film. Maybe it’s just the story that is tackled with little pathos, overly emphasizing the man/different dichotomy (which should be appropriate given the intrinsic nature of the saga).
I don’t know, the director seemed great, but the screenplay is a mess.

1) Not me.
2) Nì: actually, this is the reissue of "Disposable Heroes," a bootleg that came out in '86 and had 4 limited reprints; the one you have (the one with the black vinyl) is also the reissue of "We'll Nail You Down" and was released a year later. The original reissue (of an unofficial record; I don't know how many contradictions are in this sentence...) is the one with the white vinyl with colored stripes. The other versions (transparent, classic black, transparent red, etc.) came out the following year.
3) Maybe you just dreamt it; if that's the case, try dreaming of the lottery numbers because yes, it’s a live from '85. The bootleg was released in '86, and your version in '87.
4) No, as of today, there is only the vinyl, and you have the latest reissue.
Who knows if you will ever read this message, who knows if you still care about this at all, who knows if someone else replied to you before...
Well, so how are the kids? How are you? When are you coming back?

It's a record that, for the genres it presents and the attitude it inevitably carries (back in the early millennia we called it "indie"), I should hate. In fact, I shouldn't even know it exists. I know it by heart.

I'm on the subway at the end of the workday. Nine hours separate me from clocking out, and I have little energy left. I randomly glanced and ended up reading the piece about the drops in the cave. At home, I roll a giant joint of amnesia, lie down with my headphones on, and listen to it. Thank you, you piqued my curiosity. I don’t know if I’ll clock in on time tomorrow, but thanks.

I don't know this album, but I've always found them to be among the most overrated in the genre. The only ones more overrated than them are Baroness and some random people whose existence I can't even remember at the moment.
