In my opinion, it's worth taking a look at: "Nightmare City" by Umberto Lenzi. Boyle admitted that he stole the idea of fast zombies from that film (and from 28 Days Later, the zombies are all hungry sprinters). And that's not all, even the iconic scene from "Planet Terror" is a quote/theft from Lenzi's film. As for which one is more a "bad movie," I'll let you decide.
