Citing Morandini is wrong. Always and in any case. Hearing that Aurora is a "Love Film" makes my skin crawl (no offense). Telling 9/10 of a movie's plot doesn't mean you're writing a review: it's just spoiler. The point that Americans move what's in front of the camera while Germans move the camera itself is interesting. However, it might have been more fitting for "The Last Laugh" and the first dolly shots in cinema history (yes, I'm showing off, I'll stop now). I refuse to rate the film because even a blind person would realize it's a masterpiece; however, I'll give you a 5. Because you may have talked about this film briefly and poorly, but at least you talked about it.

Verdena Il suicidio dei samurai

I find that the only decent thing the Verdena have done in their 13-year career is the title of this album. Just the title, Stop. They begin and end with the "I's" at the edges of "Il suicidio dei samurai." Nothing more to say, it's really a great title.

I don't want to come across as overly categorical, but what sense does Alice Cooper make in 2012? What sense does Alice Cooper make alongside Rob Zombie? Either he retires, or he puts on a suit and tie to do folk blues (if he’s interested and capable), or he’s pretty much irrelevant.

John Carpenter The Ward

It's a good run-of-the-mill horror movie: it makes you jump two or three times on the couch, and the final twist isn't all that trivial. Or rather, it is trivial, but no one had ever done it before. The previous three Carpenters were "Ghosts of Mars," "Vampires," and "Escape from L.A."; compared to those three, "The Ward" is a masterpiece. It goes without saying that compared to "Ghosts of Mars," Gossip Girl is also a masterpiece.
