Midian combines the violence of the early days of the English five-piece with all the experience accumulated over many years of work, the five English vampires have amazed us again!!!
Today I present to you Cradle of Filth, an album lent to me by my friend Robert the Ripper, returning from a vacation in a dark and soul-devastating place.
The band's leader, Dani Filth, is a diabolical figure endowed with incredible charisma and a ruthless and inhuman imagination full of cruelty. The beginning is one of the best ever known in the history of black metal, electrifying, shocking, and exhausting. YOAAAAAAA A dark voice that evokes gloomy, sepulchral, and vampiric landscapes, places unknown to the human soul.
It truly seems like standing at the gates of the antechamber of the underworld.
The concept is based precisely on "Midian," a legendary place, home to all monsters facing the underworld. Now we are ready for the frenzy, to smash everything, to crush the naivety of Cliffburton86, and convert him to the voice of wisdom and damnation.
Then take all the singers who pretend to be false rock stars, break their thumb, index, and ring fingers so they always have the metal horns raised to the sky. This is the function of the album, which is dark, deadly, powerful, autarchic, shadowy, gloomy and composed of everything that can scare all the inexperienced singers who occupy most of these pages of the site... YOAAAAAAAAA.
The world increasingly needs this music today!!!
This album represents the dark forces of evil and the underworld.
Perhaps the best album CoF has ever made, full of violence and a drum played so hard that it breaks the sticks and sends them flying into the audience's eyes.
"Midian is the link between the old and the new Cradle Of Filth, without which songs like 'Nemesis' and 'Nymphetamine' wouldn’t exist."
"A perfect blend of metallic fury and gothic melody, 'Midian' gives life to a powerful and intriguing sound, hard in the right measure and crowned by stunning melodic openings."
