Ligabue Buon compleanno Elvis

The second of the 2 albums by Ligabue that I appreciate... for the rest, I agree with the thesis I've already read: "he's a genius because he creates dozens of songs by changing the order of 4 chords"... INCREDIBBBBILE! But now it's time for him to update... come on...

Listening to the usual unknowns "is cool" on DB... you should know that, Primiballi ;-)

No, Primiballi, don’t misunderstand me. You’re right; being in a hurry, I probably expressed myself poorly! I didn’t mean to be modest—who am I to do that?! I just meant to say that from my perspective, Vasco, rather than offering "singing performances for fine ears" (it’s undeniable that he really doesn’t have a voice anymore…), presents a show to be experienced and sweated through until the end, surrounded by all kinds of people! As I’ve already said, I consider him a phenomenon of mass aggregation, a kind of "collective playground," and I’m okay with that because, like you, I go once a year and have fun! As for the band, you know very well what I think, and I would never dream of offending them… I hope he announces some dates again in September; unfortunately, I can’t make it before, darn it! I’ve been told that the setlist for this tour is really nice. Can you confirm?

Vasco's live concerts are nowadays considered a true event, as he is perhaps one of the few in Italy who can afford (financially speaking...) shows comparable to those of the "greats" on the international scene... a phenomenon that brings together multiple generations united solely for the purpose of having fun. I don't think we should consider all of this a crime. Vasco is now an industry, that's a fact, but if it allows people to spend 3 hours in the company of friends listening to a great live band, then so be it... of course, without too many pretensions, mind you. Superficially speaking, that's how I see it.

Certainly, the decline had already started a while ago, but what I meant to say is that this album still feels like a ray of sunshine amidst so many big clouds ;-) and musically, I have to repeat that I like it very much!

One of the most beautiful in the entire discography. For the rest, see post n°54 from the good Coolermaster, who as usual steals the words right out of my mouth (...I'm late compared to him...) ;-) "We are all here, on the island that isn't there, not wanting to grow up and waiting, hoping to see him return"... it’s just so...
Vasco Rossi Stupido Hotel
Voto:
Aside from the ridiculousness (not even written well) of the review in question, I reaffirm my negative judgment towards this album. When I mentioned in other reviews of Vasco the decline in style and the worst album in his entire discography, I was actually referring to Stupido Hotel, a disappointment that made me step away from the Emilian rocker for quite a while. After listening to it for the first time, I remember having dusted off, with tears in my eyes, ā€œbut what does a song matter,ā€ ā€œwe’re not Americans,ā€ ā€œit’s Alfredo’s fault,ā€ ā€œit’s just usā€... WHAT INFINITE SADNESS... An album that has drastically lowered the average.

Beautiful and true is the comment from Coolermaster n°88... the album is a fundamental milestone, this was "Vasco in its purest form" contrary to what he churns out now... as for the Deep, yes, they are greats who have contributed to the history of music, but let's not talk about current events.. come on..
