For me, one of Vasco's best albums. It starts off strong with "siamo solo noi," a great track that has become an anthem and a cornerstone piece in live performances, which legend has it, is inspired by the "bad" habits of guitarist Massimo Riva. Then comes "ieri ho sgozzato mio figlio," a great piece of raw rock with a title that's more suited to death metal than to Italian rock; in fact, it was censored (ieri ho sg. mio figlio).
Next comes "che ironia," for me one of the less inspired tracks of the album, followed by the reggae of "voglio andare al mare," a fun summer piece. It's time for "brava," one of my favorite tracks, a disillusioned love song, supported by a driving rhythm, with Vasco alternating between sweet and angry moments. "dimetichiamoci questa città" follows, another carefree rock piece, succeeded by the incredibly romantic "incredibile romantica." It all concludes with the dragging blues of "valium."
This is one of the angriest and damned albums of the "blasco," and therefore also the most genuine! "...è quando sei riuscita a farmi cadere con la tua logica di calze nere...". A cult classic.
"Siamo solo noi" is an immortal track, often described as a generational anthem.
"Try listening to 'Valium' as a lullaby, I assure you the effect is excellent!"
"Vasco is a man with the soul and impulses of a child... endowed with great sensitivity and poetry."
"'Siamo solo noi': this track is history, if it had been born outside of Italy... it would be considered a classic of world rock music."
"'Siamo solo noi' is the anthem of a generation of disrupted without saints or heroes."
"Vasco is an authentic artist, his music is communication, from nonsensical language to real love poems."
