The Cure Japanese Whispers
Voto:
A truly mediocre album by a brilliant band.
Bruce Springsteen Live @ Milano - Stadio Meazza 25/06/08
Voto:
I'm not crazy about Springsteen, but the concert was truly unforgettable, much much better than the one a few years ago, also at San Siro. A great night.
Antonella Ruggiero Registrazioni Moderne
Voto:
Forget about Ruggiero soloist. Get yourself Tango and Berlino, Parigi, Londra. Ruggiero is too pretentious, a bore.
Francesco Guccini Opera buffa
Voto:
I have always appreciated Guccini's consistency. He lives according to his ideals and is a commendable person. But I can't understand how anyone can manage to listen to an entire Guccini album, except maybe Quello che non...
Antonella Ruggiero Registrazioni Moderne
Voto:
A great album. The only beautiful album by Ruggiero as a solo artist. He wastes his great talent interpreting pretentious and boring songs.
Baustelle Live @ Nuvolari, Cuneo 07.06.08
Voto:
I've always thought little of Baustelle. Then I read Fiumani's biography, which speaks highly of them. Curious, I bought a few albums. Indeed, they're not that bad. I think I'll go see them at Villa Arconati, where the concerts are always better than in other places. A decent band.
Eugenio Finardi Strade
Voto:
Nice album with the most famous songs. However, it seems to me that it was a contract-ending album eventually rejected even by Finardi himself. The Cramps albums are very beautiful and angry, except for the first one. Still good up until Dolce Italia. It then lost the anger and the creative spark, yet managed to make another good album, namely Il vento di Elora. La forza dell'amore is also a nice song, it's a shame the beginning is the same as Baba O'Riley by The Who. Anyway, during the Cramps period, the concerts were like working-class pay, truly great.
Vasco Rossi Siamo solo noi
Voto:
It's just us, Brava, Let's forget this city and Incredibile Romantica great Italian hits. The best album by Vasco. Then, later on, it became a bit of a caricature, and we all agree on that. It's wrong and ungrateful, anyway, to treat this, at times, beautiful album poorly. When Siamo solo noi was released, I won't say it went unnoticed, but it didn’t immediately become a generational anthem. It was reevaluated a lot after Bollicine and Vita Spericolata, which marked the turning point towards the big numbers.
Zucchero Miserere
Voto:
Miserere is one of the ugliest Italian songs ever. Ridammi il sole instead is a great piece. Overall, though, it’s a boredom.
Bluvertigo MTV Storytellers
Voto:
Morgan is a very cultured and musically prepared guy. Too bad he's not capable of writing songs worth remembering. At best, a few decent songs (the most famous ones of the group). I would gloss over his solo career. X Factor, however, was a good show where a certain quality could be glimpsed.
