I really can't stand the way he sings, but I recognize that "1973" and especially "Same mistake" are very beautiful... listening to the latter song reminds me of "The scientist" as well...

Thank you so much for the advice...I got to know them through "Something about you," which struck me right away...but "Hot water" and "The chant has begun" are on "Standing in the light" (or maybe "True colors"?
And is "standing..." very different from "World machine"?

Without a shadow of a doubt, it's not one of Metallica's best albums, but it has some great songs, including "St. Anger," "All within' my hands," and "Some kind of monsters."
