THE REVIEW

I am argumentative, a real troublemaker, I have all the faults in the world, but how can one buy an album that's a carbon copy of ten thousand other albums already on the market?
I'm not the only one, and certainly not the last, to have this idea about the hip hop circulating. Take a beat, throw in a few notes, and shoot crap, like your girl left you, you like beautiful girls, you want peace and love in the world... I've basically painted a picture of this album for you.

Few songs on this album stand out, in the end, they are always the same ones we hear twenty times a day and are the only ones that are a bit more elaborated because they would have been the only ones to entice people to buy since the others are awful.
The lyrics are always the same and meaningless, let's not even talk about the melodies, the only reason I appreciate this CD is for dancing hip hop or break dance because while you're focused on your moves, you only pay attention to the rhythm.

The only songs that are redeemable, or barely catchy, are "Shut Up," "Let's Get It Started," and "Where Is The Love." One song that I consider the most pointless of all is "Let's Get Retarded." It's the same as "Let's Get It Started," and throughout the song, the words "It Started" are replaced with "Retarded." I wonder how they managed to come up with such nonsense? And actually publish it! Not even if I had squeezed my small brain would I have come up with such nonsense!

All in all, it's the usual stuff you hear about "yoyo" musical groups (as we call them in my circle), they'll make two or three little songs that will obviously disappear after not even a year, but two months if they're lucky, no one will remember them, but don't worry if you love hip hop; thousands more songs just like the one you liked so much will be released.
And I assure you that I am not usually one to generalize because I have fairly broad musical tastes, and the songs themselves aren't horrible, but in this group, in this music genre, originality is lacking.

Summary by Bot

The review criticizes The Black Eyed Peas' Elephunk album for its repetitive and unoriginal content common in hip hop music. Only a few tracks stand out for their catchiness, mainly useful for dancing. The reviewer finds the lyrics meaningless and the melodies uninspired, with a strong dislike towards some songs. Overall, the album is seen as typical mainstream hip hop with little lasting value.
