Sex Pistols Never Mind The Bollocks
Voto:
For pretazzo: I'm talking about a way of conceiving and playing a piece, certainly not about the look; distorted guitars played without frills, little importance given to guitar solos, choruses with shouted slogan-like chants. The Sex Pistols found all of this already "packaged," they did nothing but exaggerate it and infuse it with an outrageous and irreverent energy that glam only had in appearances, in the look to be precise. I hope I've made myself clear.
Sex Pistols Never Mind The Bollocks
Voto:
Punk as a musical genre had already been anticipated by the English glam rock of the early 70s (Sweet, Gary Glitter). If you listen carefully to "Suffragette City" by David Bowie, you’ll realize that I’m not saying heresy: the guitar played that way is pre-punk... Good review, and five stars to the Sex Pistols more for the impact they've had than for the musical value in itself.
The Police Message In A Box: The Complete Recordings
Voto:
I have this box set as well. They were an amazing band. Among the unreleased tracks, "I burn for you" is fantastic. A reunion of the Police? Yes, but only "one time only." We shouldn’t risk ruining a legend...
Marillion Afraid of Sunlight

Thank you for the compliments. For Joe: I think with "Marbles" they've made a great comeback. It's clear that a lot depends on personal taste...
Jane's Addiction Up From The Catacombs: The Best Of Jane's Addiction
Voto:
They, along with King'x and Warrior Soul, helped to dismantle the stereotypes of metal. Honor to them.
Diamond Head Canterbury

@ justice in fact I cataloged Canterbury not as "metal" but as "rock". As a definition, it is the most appropriate one.
Boston Boston

A beautifully written review that reveals little about the album and its true value. No mention of the unmistakable sound of the guitars, the exceptional ability to blend melody and energy, the difference between Boston and other AOR bands, the stunning voice of Brad Delp, or immortal classics like "Smokin'" and "More than a feeling." "Boston" is a remarkable album, and the subsequent "Don't Look Back" is even better. A review like this might have been more suitable for bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, in my opinion...
Bob Dylan Blood On The Tracks
Voto:
Record with standout tracks like "Tangled up in blue," "Simple twist of fate," and "Idiot wind." Occasionally, however, let’s focus on the music as well, not just on Dylan's lyrics. And let’s say, without fear of sacrilege, that Dylan has never had a great imagination when it comes to choosing chords and arrangements. In albums like this one, entirely based on acoustic guitar, it’s quite evident...
Crowded House Together Alone

Yes, Fosca is the first, thank you for the welcome. More will be coming... soon on these screens. Bye.
Fabrizio De Andrè / Premiata Forneria Marconi In Concerto Vol. I e II
Voto:
Historical albums for Italian singer-songwriter music. Some rearranged versions by PFM have remained so even in subsequent years. Excellent review.
