    Am I in order?

It's clear that charts are a matter of taste. For instance, where are Joy Division, The Cure, Nirvana, or Sonic Youth, rather than Minstries, Godflesh, or even the founders of the record label, Throbbing Gristle? What about Albini’s projects? Or Brian Eno's projects as a producer or solo artist (No New York, for example)? Linda Lunch? A little something from Nick Cave? Tori Amos yes, and not Patti Smith? It's evident, I repeat, that we have different tastes and charts are merely a question of preferences.

So why Nirvana then? Never said anything about it. Brian Eno is at the top, I would say. For me, he is and will always be the one from Roxy, whom I really like even after the pop shift. I'm not ashamed; I also like pop music.

Joy Division were undeniably an important band; without their sound, many current groups that offer a certain style would likely never have existed. Lydia Lunch is the queen of a certain type of sound, with countless collaborations throughout her career. Brian Eno allowed four bands to create a collage of songs that made history, no new york, which not only kicked off no wave but also influenced all those American noise bands that today may or may not be well-known.

I know Eno and Joy Division well.

Putting new orders second instead of whoever you can imagine is at least daring, don’t you think?

A nail of ian cutis is worth all the creativity of hook, so then it's a matter of personal taste.

No, absolutely not. They do synth pop and in this field, for my very personal tastes, they are the best.

In fact, you speak of personal tastes; synth is not a genre I prefer as I have a more restless soul...

I can't listen to Joy Division all day long, though, I go crazy. I wrote down what I listen to, that's all.

Then, sorry... there are A-ha, R.E.M. and Tears for Fears, it's definitely not a scholarly ranking.

My critique was aimed at some things I didn't understand about your ranking; however, if you talk to me about current listens, you could be right because those are what you are currently listening to. But if the ranking states the best of all time, I refer, speaking about my personal tastes, to a period that spans from the ages of 17-18 up to my current 30, that's all.

it's called the greatest artist of all time, not favorite. OK. But I believe that "the editorial line" means "your favorites." Am I wrong? Otherwise, we end up tearing each other apart.

It's what I'm listening to now, it's a ranking in a way because it's not in order. I used to listen to Joy Division until I couldn't anymore, now I've stopped. Patti Smith doesn't meet my taste. I don't know who Lydia Lunch is, sorry for my ignorance. Nick Cave just a little, but I wouldn't include him in the ranking.
