but indeed zorn is such a show-off :D he's the typical artist that when you discover him, you binge on him until you feel sick

Great ranking, wonderful presence of Schulze, Fricke, and Hammill.

STUNNING ranking. I almost agree with all the names. The top 10 are perfect, absolutely. And with that nickname, I was sure I would find Tom Waits so high up, and he fits in perfectly.

The top 5 spots excite me :D... Following them, I'm thrilled by the presence of Fricke (I discovered him recently, I dare say: one of the greatest European composers of the last 50 years), Buckley ("The Voice"), Fripp (absolute genius, but that's objective), Bargeld and Lurie (two not-so-famous but incredibly talented musicians who brought fortune to two of the best rock bands of the '80s: the Bad Seeds and the Lounge Lizards), Ribot (another extraordinary musician, who has left a deep mark on Waits' discography starting from "Rain Dogs"), Drake (a silent genius), Cave, Van Morrison, Pastorius (the Hendrix of the bass, absolutely), Beefheart, and finally Chet Baker (not a giant, but someone who played with soul, which makes it hard not to love him). Excellent ranking!
