they were a historical band, there's no doubt about it, but... upon closer examination, unfortunately without intending to, they gave rise to everything that is ignorance and stupidity in music, both in the purely musical aspect and in the "lifestyle" factor, creating that wave of toddlers who nowadays think punk means look, blink 182 and middle fingers (and a lot of money asked from their millionaire dads), shamefully ignoring the existence of bands like Alkaline Trio or the entire first wave of American hardcore punk... more
