Queen
Perhaps the most unimitable band in the Olympus of rock. more
Queen
Pyrotechnic grit. Their compositions played by another group would have been pathetic. more
Queen
They have made beautiful albums, but also missteps. more
Queen
The lack of objectivity is evident when one snubs Queen for beads and glitter, only to exalt tacky displays with corpse paint, latex by the kilo, studs, and crucifixes. A great, truly great band, with commercial rock that is refined and meticulously crafted. They have created great masterpieces, but even in their lesser albums, there is still something worth saving. And regarding Freddie's extraordinary voice, immense and devastating in its beauty, it seems to me there is nothing to argue about. Great. more
AC/DC
a brutal and not particularly evocative variation of rock and roll, made up of endless repetitions of riffs, a rhythm section for the slow-witted, and an epileptic and clumsy singing. the illiterates of r&r. more
Queen

When a guitarist picks up an electric guitar, they always have to reckon with Hendrix. more
Jimi Hendrix
Forget about metalheads: he is the true rock devil of all time. more
Duran Duran
.."Rio" is a really great album, "Big Thing" too, but they gave in too soon to a clichéd definition of pop-band. more
