The Stranglers - No More Heroes

"What ever happened to Leon Trotsky, he got jabbed with an ice pick that made his ears explode... What ever happened to the heroes? And all the Shakespeareans? they saw their Rome burn... No more heroes, no more heroes..."

HIGHER ELEVATION - Crazy bicycle

'' the monocles '' - psychedelic 1966.

A mouthwatering collection released quite a few years ago tells the story of this band, one of the thousands of very particular rock 'n' roll tales. Starting out as a beat group, but of that smartly-dressed mod kind, with lacquered hairstyles... by the mid-sixties they finally begin to savor some interesting little treats, releasing a few 45s of absolute interest... from whimsical psychedelia to so-called sunshine pop and jangle folk-rock...

The Monocles - Spider and the Fly

The Higher Elevation - The Diamond Mine

During a remarkable period of “welcome back pipedreams” - I admit I was no longer feeling it - I listened to, and (re)discovered, garage bands full of soul and blood, with influences ranging from beat to punk, from psychedelia to R&B - from power pop to folk, from rockabilly to mod, including soul and even hard rock. In short, the essence of rock'n'roll from true beasts to the wild scream of “screw your virtuosic and super-fast scales and your ridiculous four-octave vocal range.” Since 1990 onward, with some comebacks of old relics, savansadir.

A tantalizing compilation released quite a few years ago tells the story of this band, one of the thousands of very unique rock’n’roll tales. Starting as a beat group, but of the mod-style, cravat-wearing kind, with slicked-back hair … by the mid-sixties they finally began to savor interesting candies, releasing some truly compelling singles… from ridiculous psychedelia to so-called sunshine-pop and jangle-folk-rock…

"My sex has no dreams, it doesn't feel quite the same as the skyscrapers erected in its name. Sometimes I realize it, sometimes it surprises me, sometimes I think it’s just a robot..."

Peppino Prisco: le migliori frasi | Inter ⚫️🔵
Here. I believe that even the Gobbi must bow here.
Even Gjuanín Lamiêre (Gianni Agnelli, for those who aren’t Friulian) admitted that this guy outclassed him as a lawyer.
As humorists, in my opinion, they were really on par: Piedmontese sophistication versus Milanese acidity.
People who will never die, as long as I remember them.
Ps. I introduced his book "Pazzo per l'Inter" to people who couldn’t read and who supported completely different teams: they all fell over laughing, unconditionally.
But we have the partisan lawyer!
And the Noble Ambrosian colors are engraved in our hearts and minds.

About Futból, or what’s left of it, they’re worse than a Taliban who lost his camel in the game: unbearable!!!

If we put together these gentlemen:

Raymond "Ray" Cooper (session hand with: Elton John, Billy Joel, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, David Gilmour, Roger Waters, and Art Garfunkel, just to name a few in passing) – congas, percussion

Charles Lempriere "Prairie" Prince (member of The Tubes and Jefferson Starship, as well as a session man with: Chris Isaak, Todd Rundgren, Brian Eno, David Byrne, XTC, Tom Waits, Paul Kantner, George Harrison, John Fogerty, just to name a few in passing) – drums

Jerry Lynn Williams (wrote songs for Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Robert Plant, B.B. King, Stevie Ray & Jimmie Vaughan, and also played guitar and piano) – vocals

Sir George Harrison (a little-known figure that some misinformed individuals associate with the Beatles, well...) – electric guitar, slide guitar (credited here under the pseudonym George O'Hara)

Michael Kevin "Mick" Taylor (seems to have fiddled around with: John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, The Rolling Stones, and now has his own band curiously named "Mick Taylor Band," you figure it out...) – electric and acoustic guitars
&
Robert Henry "Bobby" Keys – saxophones
Chris Rae – acoustic guitar
Mike Egan – acoustic guitar
Peter Robinson aka Christopher John "Chris" Spedding – electric guitar
