The Spoken Voice

Dream Of '63

As I listen to some garage news, the first creature of the not-yet Baffone, a child in full punk… he already adds something a bit more tasty…

Ooooooold Baffone, a jack-of-all-trades artist like very few others… I don’t know what he hasn’t done…

@[ZiOn] lately my listening habits have been leaning towards a specific type of "nerd" rap, which in the US is referred to as Backpack rap.

To be clear, as you might have noticed from my latest listen, I’m literally consuming MF DOOM’s stuff, followed by Lootpack, Madlib, etc.

In short, all the underground hip hop releases from the late 90s/early 2000s that came out of the worst basements.

Do you have any names to suggest? Not including Def Jux, Anticon or Psycho + Logical, realities that I’m already quite familiar with (wonderful).

Allatonceness (Official lyric video)
Another album that looks promising.

Yard Act - Down By The Stream

another big release I was waiting for.
