Fall of Another Year
It took a while, but today I received confirmation that the autumn of another year is here to stay. Eight hours, if we’re counting, between Piedmont, Lombardy, and Sardinia (the continuity, right?), pretty awful weather, the usual delays in almost all flights, and well, I imagine you know it better than I do. The frustration, but then resignation (what’s the point in getting angry?). So, to kill the endless boredom, I plug in my headphones and blast Ege Bamyasi. When Vitamin C comes on, I start clapping my hands and stomping my feet, quite happy to be on my own amidst the tired and sweaty crowd. A little kid about a year and a half old and his five-year-old cousin come over and start clapping along. We ended up jamming for about fifteen minutes while two older kids tried to reproduce basic melodies (even Ed Sheeran, at one point) on the airport piano. We, totally absorbed in our percussive trip, continued to act like Jaki, and I thought that if you catch them young, there’s still some hope. I’ve bored you to death 😂

Shadow of Grief

The Greenhornes - Too Much Sorrow

So, the first 100 is to be dedicated in an extremely noble way, with these former lads over the weekend. I have at least ten songs of theirs in my heart.

For me, their first three from the early millennium ('99 the first), along with the EPs, are stunning. They play anything from the "scene" with sublime melodies.
Two more great tracks from Garage and R&B…
There’s also a beautiful collection that gathers (almost) all the best from the “Seven Soles” period.

AND TOMORROW THERE ARE MORE BITES…

Killers of The Flower Moon | Final Trailer | Paramount Pictures UK
I can never talk about this movie as you see it in theaters because after 20 (TWENTY!!!) minutes of ads, I cursed so much that they turned the lights back on, I told everyone to fuck off, and I left for the Chinese restaurant next to the cinema.
Tempura vegetable julienne, steamed dumplings, and grilled shrimp brought me back to my senses. In fact, I wanted to throw a Molotov at the screen.
And I KNOW how to make a Molotov that goes "BANG" and not "poof"!

I’m a very tolerant person; I talk to everyone and listen to anyone who seems to understand what they’re saying.
I rarely get angry, but human stupidity drives me insane.
Damn! You go to the movies to see a film, not to buy half a kilo of ground meat!!!
Don’t make me curse, diobòia!!!

The Greenhornes - I've been down

Greenhornes - Good Times

So the first 100 should be dedicated in a truly noble way, with these former young lads over the weekend. I have at least ten of their songs in my heart.

For me, their first three from the turn of the millennium ('99 being the first), including the EPs, are phenomenal. They play anything from the "sector" with sublime melodies.
If they had only written this beat-garage and this amazing blues, that would already be enough, to be honest.
There’s also a wonderful compilation that gathers (almost) all the best of the “Seven Soles” era.
