Rahsaan Roland Kirk "The Entertainer" The Case Of The 3 Sided Dream In Audio Color (1975)

#unochenonsiannoiavaperniente

An almost impossible attempt at a semi-serious journey through the discography and countless collaborations of Steve Gadd, in almost chronological order.

Wham! - Last Christmas (Lyrics)

You'll never admit it, but I KNOW you were longing to hear it again, let’s just say it!
To "feel" the Christmas atmosphere, you don’t need to chop down tender little trees or build intricate nativity scenes: a sink will do, as I explained in this piece I translated back when it was released.
I still get asked about it, along with "Dami el maôn" (Let me go home), "Trêst" (Bad), and "Al'é mesdê" (Aserejè). Coming soon to this shore, if you flatter me in a manner befitting my lineage. Haw!

"Mêt vie i plas / l'è plen el seglâr / se no cjati dôt net / buti dôt ta l'agâr / jo', íar, ti ai dite no uêi / ti ai dite c'o' Vevi un têc presse presse.

Cumò / o vôi intal bar / jo' no ai vôe di pensà / plui al seglâr o a l'agâr / vê' là / el gnûf biliardên / Met dêntri cént fràns cjàpi el spéccial spéccial"

P.S. This is virtually untranslatable: I can translate "Seglâr" (sink) and "Agâr" (drain, but also "groove" like the one between breasts or buttocks). I care for you all.

Old Time Religion

Girl Trouble "She No Rattle My Cage" Hit It Or Quit It 1988

Tacoma… oh yes, the same one as the Sonics…
In 1983 they formed, in 1988 they debuted with a beautiful album, only much later appreciated, until it was recognized as a "cultural artifact" by the Yankee institutions.
From almost zero to 100… only the Americans…

Garage, PunkRock, PunkBlues, Rockabilly, Cowpunk, and even some of that Grunge. A truly unique blend. Younger brothers by a few years of Cramps and Gun Love.

Then I tell you…

Louie Louie

#louie (1)

We set off and we can only set off like this, because it's true that "Louie Louie" has been covered by everyone, but it's even truer that it's the quintessence of garage.

The God Machine - Dream Machine - on a bus I still remember, it must have been almost 30 years ago. I was finishing university and found a job as the manager of the skating rink that was making its debut in town that year. There were three or four of us managing it, and some nights I stayed in the little wooden booth making sure everything was running smoothly. In the morning, I had to check the temperature of the system and do some minor maintenance on the rink before it opened to the public. There was also a sound system that played commercial tracks for the skaters throughout the day. So that morning, I felt compelled to raise the level of daily musical miseries, and since I was all alone, I woke up the downtown area of my city with this song blasting! It was infinite joy.
