Enzo Jannacci - La disperazione della pietà ( Live -RSI 1986)
Have immense pity on public men, especially politicians
for their easy speech, their bright eyes, their assured gestures, but
have even more pity for their servants, humble and relatives,
make it so that no more sound meters are born from them.
Lord have mercy, mercy, mercy, mercy, Lord

Mustafa Özkent - Burçak Tarlaları

That's The Way I Feel Now A Tribute to Thelonious Monk 1984

Another one of those vinyls (complete with the "scrócchio" of the cellophane, with the various rituals connected to the first listening: by now you know me #maybe) that ignited my intelligence, which was dormant at that time due to various substances and alcohol. So much alcohol.
I don’t think I’ve posted it here, but it doesn’t matter if I did.

The respect with which these stratospheric musicians - not all purely Jazz - approach his art makes it clear that this man was not from this fucking planet.

Many Rock-oriented musicians I used to hang out with were quite annoyed at first when I forced them, under the threat of withdrawing my greeting, to listen to him. But then they listened to the original tracks and reevaluated their approach to musical knowledge.
A true musician "feels" when the stuff is good, regardless of who is peddling it. Ugh!
