Of course, Randy Craig Wolfe didn’t have everything he could have had. Tremendous talent, it seemed like fate was on his side. Randy, a newly fifteen-year-old, randomly meets Jimi Hendrix in an instrument store in NY. “NOW IT’S MY TURN TO PLAY,” says the kid, Jimi smiles but is immediately amazed. Jimi isn’t yet that Jimi, he goes by the name of Jimmy James. He takes him into his band, calling him California because there were two Randys (California and Texas, so imaginative, right?). Soon enough, we know the History, Jimi Hendrix must make the big leap… to London. Everything happens in no time, as it used to back then… but Randy is still too young…

Then the great adventure with Spirit, a couple of decades without much fanfare… and in “his” Hawaii, at 45 years old, while swimming peacefully with his son… that rogue wave… that miraculous rescue… and that body that instead drifts away, without a fuss, as always…

FULL ALBUM! Six Satanic Princes Present: The Hoppin Grasshoppers (1967)
Unknown record that I'm listening to live. From the few snippets I've heard, it seems to be a kind of "Witchy" psychedelia completely soaked in the vibes of the year the record was released. In my opinion, it's worth a listen.
