Portrait Of A Man - Screamin' Jay Hawkins

Screaming Jay Hawkins - I Put a Spell on You (Audio)

Well… every now and then we slip in some forgotten link between the fifties and sixties…

Oh Jalacy, very very special huh…
What a life this character had… Too bad there’s no one to tell it properly…

At his death, the “official” flash from the children… “We have tracked down 37 so far,” the family’s lawyer said if I remember correctly… He claimed that there should have been around sixty… probably even more…

Well, just based on what is known, a reasonably eventful life…

And musically, he contributed much more than is acknowledged. Of course, the trashy attitude didn’t help…

The Devil Dogs - So Young

The Devil Dogs "Action"

How beautiful...

NEW YORK CITY, late eighties - early nineties
THE DEVIL'S DOGS shake things up properly.
Childish and Mariconda are backstage...

And there’s all the Noble Delirium of the angry and degraded New York of the late seventies in their sound.

Punk rock 'n' roll that’s as streetwise and genuine as it gets.

Dictators, DMZ, Ramones, Heartbreakers, New York Dolls and the usual sixties are the references to stay on point...
