The pressure from Atlantic is overwhelming; the album must be released right after summer. Witnessing such a frantic production is the famous sound engineer Eddie Kramer: "The tapes were coming in from everywhere; we worked in every hole we could book. It was a wild time; the band was extremely loud. I left them the depraved aspect of the matter."
