King Crimson - Sailors Tale (OFFICIAL)

As far as I'm concerned, “Islands,” although it's hard to rank them, “Sailor's Tale” is my favorite.

Selective but not sectarian, since ’69 I've grown up on a diet of King Crimson, then also in ’76 for a few years when I'd take my bag of prog records and more to play on one of the first free radios of the time, and today I still love them, at least those from the early years, along with a lot of other music I would say across the board.

If we want to frame “Lizard” and also “Islands” musically, except for the title track of the first, they can no longer be considered prog albums; we need to talk about “total” music or “fusion,” but not in the way it was understood later; we should then make a separate discussion for “Lady of the Road” which, as beautiful as it is for Fripp's guitar, feels out of place on that album, because it was perhaps intended for release as a 45 RPM single, although we would need to verify if it was published.

I really like it, I've always liked Santana before the "market" deluge with the exception of the fabulous "SuperN." This is the "IV" with the original lineup, the archetype of the Santana sound that no one has ever copied. Santana: Echizo

The Doors - Unhappy Girl
"Jim Morrison & The Doors on the Road" (13)
One of the pre-demo songs by the Doors. Before Ray discovered how much he could enjoy his "own" keyboard bass, it was one of the songs they used to evaluate the bassist candidates. When it was decided to include it on the second album, the mournful atmospheres arising from Krieger's bottleneck playing and Manzarek's literally upside-down part took over in the studio. With the lyrics, it seems that Jim is actually speaking about himself, unhappy and already a prisoner of his own project.

I actually listen to it from the 21st minute onwards, since in fifteen minutes it captures all the best breaks and chords of the blues.

Islands {40th Anniversary } - King Crimson (1971)

ohhh, today I said to myself: Mauro, you have some time to spare, why not listen again, with the right attention, to a wonderful and revolutionary record like Islands, despite the fact that only 45 years have passed? Well, I did it with great pleasure, not limiting myself to the modest "quick listen" that you might reserve for others, because this work is still, above all, unique, and incredibly brave for its time. From In The Court in 1969 onwards, with a more or less steady progression, the magic of King Crimson has been more than perfect, I would say. Then, I regret to say it, aware of the reactions of the younger generation, it underwent a genetic mutation towards something different that was not necessarily equal to or better than what came before it.

Inspired by @[iside] (who, by the way, wanted something entirely different), from today you have the possibility in your collection DeBaser: auténticati! to say "I'm selling it" and thereby inform others of your willingness to sell [intuitively] the artwork in your collection. If this idea takes off and you use it, we can then create a page that allows you to search among all the works in all collections that are for sale, resulting in something like (but I didn’t want to put this word because all these years I had hoped to achieve something more than a) marketplace.

For all members of groups that generate too many notifications... now in the personal profile DeBaser: auténticati! it is possible to decide from which groups to receive notifications and from which not #done

Magma - Riah sahiltaahk - InterSessions French band. One of the most picturesque realities in all of history. I find them superior to many established bands (even the dances with odd time signatures that would make the Gong envious). Immersed in the listening, I wondered if they were also significant for the Area (especially "Mekkanik kommandoh", for its apocalyptic and theatrical tones, so dear to the craziest Stratos).

Everything Everything - My Kz Ur Bf what do you think of these guys? The arrangements are very well done (still maintaining that pop vein) and the musical choices are interesting... Anyway, not everyone can write a verse in an odd time signature and achieve such success, huh.
