Islands {40th Anniversary } - King Crimson (1971)

ohhh, today I said to myself: Mauro, you have some time to spare, why not listen again, with the right attention, to a wonderful and revolutionary record like Islands, despite the fact that only 45 years have passed? Well, I did it with great pleasure, not limiting myself to the modest "quick listen" that you might reserve for others, because this work is still, above all, unique, and incredibly brave for its time. From In The Court in 1969 onwards, with a more or less steady progression, the magic of King Crimson has been more than perfect, I would say. Then, I regret to say it, aware of the reactions of the younger generation, it underwent a genetic mutation towards something different that was not necessarily equal to or better than what came before it.
