10 Magnificent Losers. 10 stories that should be told. 2) Scott McKenzie Scott McKenzie - San Francisco ((HD-1080p/HQ)) 1967
When Philip Wallach Blondheim was taken away by the effects of a long and devastating nerve disease (Guillain-Barré syndrome), all he had with him was his cat Spider.
And even Spider no longer remembered Scott McKenzie.
Yet Scott was meant to be another Bob Dylan. His "San Francisco" was sung everywhere, and young Czechoslovakians made it an anthem of their "spring" there in Prague.
And success didn't come by chance; Scott had paid his dues with his friend John Philips. But when John found his way with the Mamas and Papas, Scott didn’t follow him: he had to be another Dylan...
So John gifted him "San Francisco," his only hit.
But "The Voice Of Scott McKenzie" and "Stained Glass Morning" are worth a listen.

The Doors - Riders On The Storm (ORIGINAL!) - driving with Jim
"Jim Morrison & the Doors on the road (59)
In the sign of destiny, the last song recorded by the Doors with Jim Morrison is an authentic wonder (unfortunately misused by the multitude of the useless in the following years). At the same time calm, dark, unsettling; a splendid ride with a constant groove, incessant, delicate and subtle. The title comes from a funeral tribute that the poet Hart Crane, who lived in the early twentieth century, wrote for a friend (Crane lived perpetually depressed and died by suicide just over thirty). It concludes the list of the band's hypnotic and spectral tracks. It was also the group's last single.
