If I Think - Mudhoney
I got this beautiful album @[De...Marga...] docet and others from you. I read that they are the beginning of grunge... I don't know, I feel little about grunge but that's fine, I prefer an aperitif to a meal.

Jenny Sorrenti Interview from 1986. In the final part, Jenny talks about the new wave, stating that it primarily has rhythm but little poetry and harmony, elements that instead characterize the art of the previous decade. Perhaps she didn't want to name names, but Japan and their contemporaries certainly have an elegance. Well, she wasn't entirely wrong; maybe even anger has a melody. Nevertheless, the new wave and post-punk would soon come to an end, replaced by noise and shoegaze. Besides, aside from Sonic Youth, Talk Talk's "Spirit," and My Bloody Valentine, I find no more emotions in the styles of Mercury Rev, Polvo, Flaming Lips... more than the revivals and updates of the West Coast feedback, I prefer the originals.
