While reading a review on Cyndi Lee, I came across the definition of hypnagogic pop; the term was coined by journalist David Keanan, defining the genre as “pop music refracted through the memory of a memory” (source Wikipedia). Among the various subgenres of hypnagogic pop, there is also yacht rock, of which Rupert Holmes is a part.

Giöbia - Screaming Souls Just got home from their concert... the second one to be precise. The first time was about ten/fifteen years ago supporting the Black Angels at the Tunnel in Milan. A beautiful concert with acid and psychedelic sounds, Indian reminiscences with the sound of the sitar, distortions and lysergic trips.. In short, a really great experience!
