Forget it… no one was like him, even if only 10% of what he did were true.

“FEAR DOES NOT EXIST,” at eight years old, it's pointless to explain how he stopped being afraid; on the contrary, he made fun of it. He lets others choose their cars first, takes what’s left, wins against higher displacement cars, wins with half a wrecked car, arriving on the rims, without a seat, with a bone sticking out of the glove, with a wrench instead of a steering wheel… and the mechanic passed out beside him, all bandaged up from a previous accident, often going off-road, normally driving on the edge of cliffs… turning off the headlights as he did at the Mille Miglia in 1930. Here, to reach his fraternal rival Varzi, he turns off the headlights… Varzi no longer sees him, thinks it's a breakdown, relaxes, when suddenly he sees a madman with the lights off overtake him and go on to win...

Loved by everyone, when he passes by, everyone stands up to greet him. When he died, Italy came to a halt, an entire country bowed and removed their hats in respect for that Gentleman who everyone thought could never die…

Ironically, before him, his two eighteen-year-old sons died sick just months apart…

“We fly, we fly”… he says that brakes waste time, so they should be used sparingly…
